RSW Ltd are currently recruiting for a Class 1 HGV driver on behalf of our long-standing clients based in South Wales who are leaders in the waste and recycling industry.
As an HGV driver, you will be part of the team handling and servicing containers for the waste industry. You will mainly be operating within the South Wales area.
Experience within the waste management industry is desirable although not essential. Hook-loader and draw-bar experience is also preferred but is not essential, as full training will be given.
Essential
Clean HGV licence C+E minimum, digital driver card essential
Drivers CPC with 35 hours training essential.
Literate and numerate, and able to complete the various daily operational documents.
Must have a valid digital tachograph card.
Have an understanding of VOSA regulations.
Job Description
Operate hook lift vehicles in an appropriate manner.
Drive safely and within the current UK speed limits for heavy goods vehicles.
Operate within current EU/UK driver’s hours regulations (adequate daily rest and maximum weekly driving time.
Provide excellent standard of service to all customers (internal and external)
Communicate clearly and effectively any issues which may affect operations.
Ensure that all the equipment on site or being driven on the highway is in a safe and working condition (report any accidents, damage/defects to equipment or vehicles)
Carry out all the vehicle daily checks and simple maintenance required recording as necessary (including washing vehicles)
Ensure all required documentation is provided or returned in a timely fashion and is legible.
Follow work to instructions and IMS procedures.
Complete and observe all Health and Safety training and update as required.
Any other reasonable tasks as required or demanded by the Contract and Line Management.

Hours Between: 06:30 – 20:00
Hourly rate from: £14.80 per hour
